Default A Standard Budgie from a pet store

Figaro
Sex: Female
Age: 5 years
Type: Standard/American
Mutation: Domiant Violet Pied

I bought Figaro from Petsmart in March 2003. She had the most personality out of all the budgies there. They put some grated carrot in the cage, and she picked up a piece and nibbled it. Another budgie stole her carrot, and she ran after that budgie and stole her carrot back. That was what drew me to her.

She was parent-raised and a maniac when I brought her home. I had to clip her myself because PetSmart didn't clip her. She was scared of people, and, since she was my second bird and I was a novice at this, I didn't really start a training schedule with her. I took her out of the cage daily but I didn't teach her step up, step down, etc. Amazingly, however, she is my tamest budgie. Since she was our only pet bird at the time, everyone was fascinated by her, and everyone wanted to hold her, etc.

Soon she would fly to us, and do strange dances, and she even learned to press her beak against our lips and make kissing sounds. She has learned many sounds, including wolf whistle, crow sound, toy robin sound, chickadee sound, and she can say "Pretty Bird". She is an acrobat budgie, and is always wedging herself between her food bowl and the cage wall, sticking her head between her legs, and rolling around in her food bowl.

She now has two birdie friends, and she does seem to like them, although she is rather domineering.
