Just for the record, the new post is still not working.

The New post feature has changed. It no longer shows you your new posts but only other members new posts. This is a result of some new software we installed.

Oh - I hope that's not permanent. Seems rather odd to me.

Ditto, seems odd and it doesn't let you know that your post has gone through.

Well, I can live with that. It does let you know as soon as someone else replies after you post, so I guess that's the main thing.

As soon as I post, the new post pops right up on the screen. So I see it's posted immediately. Is it doing that for anyone else?

Yes, it does that. Whats confusing folks is that when you create a post, then hit the "New Posts" button, that post of yours will not show up on the list. Once someone else replies to it, it will show up.

Today I also noticed that when I simply read a new post since the last time I visited, and not even respond, that thread is then gone when I hit New Posts sometime later (I always used the New Posts as a page refresher). This has bothered me today because sometimes I come here for a few minutes and only have time to read things. I usually come back later and when I have time to comment, and when the new threads/posts that I've read are gone from the New Posts list, I can't remember what they were or what sub forum they were in so I have to go and hunt for them.

For the time being we are going to have to work around the new post function. We are checking with the software designer to see what we can do.
