Default Ignorning someone?

Moderators, if you ignore someone, is there an option to not even see that they have posted anywhere?
Thanks!
Mark

I do believe that using the ignore user feature will make the other persons post's disappear, unless quoted by another member.

Is there anything that can be done about that Lance? It is really annoying to know someone you want to ignore is still there. When that note comes up, you cant really ignore them. You know they are still there.

Exactly Leigh. And, I might add, the ignore function works on anything by that poster.
I haven't had anyone make bad posts towards me that I want to ignore. Maybe I did and just don't pay attention or know it.
But, some are more into the debate, argue their stance and dissect posts. That's not why I'm here.
It takes time to filter thru debates and drama to just get back to the post about the birds, and that's why we are here. I LOVE to read about success/failure stories from real people's homes and to discuss my joys and concerns from mine. To lend a helping hand or to ask for help or just to be there.
Reading about people having an online "birdding" contest and who can outwit each other isn't beneficial to anyone and detracts from our purpose here; to learn and share about our animals.
I don't like "ignoring" anyone, I just need to "ignore" their posts to keep me positive and doing the best for my birds which is why I'm here in the first place. My wife and kids and work supply enough drama and debate for me.
Ya'll have a great day!
Mark
