Default Suggestion

Okay so many may not like this but here goes.

I think some of us have forgotten the rules of etiquette which apply to emails posts etc.

I for one am very tired of viewing the posts with LARGE BOLD type. I have to say it really irritates me.

I know I do not have to read said posts but even if I want to just peruse them for increasing my knowledge base or what ever I have to read or at least view these to get through to the others.

We had someone at work who would use Caps all the time and one day after getting thoroughly annoyed I asked this person why they continued to shout at me. They had absolutely no idea that caps meant "shouting" and said it was just easier not having to worry so they left the caps button on all the time.

I think that you can get your point across by the content of the post, not by the size and bold type.

Not sure if this is the place to post this but I just had to make my feelings known.

Sorry if I offended anyone but perhaps this will just serve as a little reminder in the future of internet manners.

JMHO

And I hate it when people use smaller font in (like this) and I have to squint to read it.

I usually just skip over those types of posts.

Isn't this just ADDING to the stupid nonsense that is going on with this forum right now? You may have forgotten to add those who type with red.

This forum is going steadily downhill and posts like this are only fueling the disgust by fabulous, knowledgeable and dedicated members who originally joined to discuss birds and have fun. It has now become a forum which is obvously divided and there is a clique of about 5 members here who just love to stir the pot.

Go back and read the posts for the first four months this board was open. Nice. Fun. Loving. Helpful. Enjoyable. Addictive.

What is it now? Sarcasm. Rudeness. Bickering. Innuedoes with accompanying smilies:

Aside from the drama that is going on in the Health section, the post count is down. It's really a shame. This forum had a lot of potential.

To be honest, I think bold, large font or small font is good in some instances. It helps important parts of posts stand out. For instance, I bolded (and enlarged and colored) Dana's Congratulation post for Tiki's picture. I just don't see anything wrong with that. Also, if I'm providing several links for reference, I will bold any text around those links to make sure it's noticeable. Small font is good for side notes, jokes, etc. This forum is supposed to be fun. I hope that everybody would write the way they like.

I agree that typing in all caps, using yellow font, and a small size all the time would probably get a little old. However, so would boring ol' posts that never looked any different. This, of course, is JMHO.

I will continue to type my posts the way I'd like. It's an extension of my personality, and helps get across the mood of what I'm trying to say.

with Joel & Camille!
I hope no one is irritated about my....

I still believe that PC is the best out here. I have made many good friends who have the same interests as me.
I am not a complainer, and try not to get caught up in any BS.
I try hard not to hurt anyones feelings but we all make mistakes. (right ~J~?)
To be downright insensative and degradeing is totaly...not right.
I hope you all believe that of me....after all, I am just a sweet little ol' grandma.
