I would like to say that perhaps kimba's threads need to be transfered here - well most of them.

I was reading the various links & can't see any real difference between the 2 species - beyond size. Sure species location may play a role but it is very difficult to say that in the pet arena.
.... As Arty has a very 'big' Timnah Grey - isn't it a reflection that some size variation can't be the defining characteristic? - not all the time.

Thanks for posting the link, BTW in my sig, is my site, there are pics and descriptions, of the various species and subspecies. There are 3 greaters, which look very different, and than the lessers, which also differ greatly.
