Well to make this story nice and short, I have been looking for a grey cheeked parakeet for years..I was supposed to meet up with a woman in PA to adopt her GC..well that never happened since I ended up staying in the hospital longer than planned.
But On sunday I became the mother of 4 grey cheeked parakeets they are just to die for !!! They are the sweetest things in the world !! My step mom had one for years and he lived to be 18 she had gotten him at 5 yrs of age and had him till he died. So I have been searching for about 4 years now to find another one and lucky me I found 4 of them !!

Interesting bird - do you know much about them as a species? It's a member of the Brotogeris group if someone doesn't know - the original Pocket Parakeet.

Wet One! - they're all wet! - but Susan I guess you meant the wettest One! - it is a sweet photo - is the wettest one a male? - something tells me it might be the male.....looks a bit hen-pecked.

Which one is the "wettest" ? The pecked one is a male who was pecked not sure by who before I got him. The one pair is nesting the other is not...Making a comeback..I doubt it these guys took me years to find and Im still on some waiting lists.
I do know quite a bit about he brotos, I was looking at getting a golden wing pair if I could not find a grey cheek. My babies weigh in at 57-60 grams each so quite tiny : ) They are talking up a storm already and love to come out and play, take rides on my shoulder and flights around the house. I am keeping them full flighted and have alot of toy shopping to do this weekend : )

Wonderful - they aren't just breeders - they've been socialized.
I love having my birds flying & chatting everywhere [well at the back of the apt].

Are they destructive at all - so far?

I have a huge soft spot for grey cheeks! My first interaction was with a grey cheek, years ago. I loved that little guy. He is what made me get into parrots. Congrats!!!!!!!!

Beautiful birds! I don't know much about them, but I'd like to learn more. Their wing coloring looks very similar to a green cheek conure.
