Default Grey cheek # 5

I am happy to say that a 5th grey cheek will be joining my broto flock.. and fingers crossed hopefully another pair next month... My new little guy or gal (he/she has not been sexed yet) will be shipping out to me in the next few weeks when it gets a bit warmer. I'll post pics as soon as I have them : )

I am SO envious! How many Grey-cheeks do you have now? Best of luck with your flock... and if you ever need a home for one, let me know

You have grey cheek parakeets? I also have one who is 18 years old. I have never yet met anyone that has one! How neat! How old are yours and where do you get them?

I don't have a Grey-cheeked parakeet; I feel in love with them years ago and have yet to find one Cassie has some amazing luck, I'll tell you that much! Most Grey-cheeked parakeets are in breeding programs nowadays in hopes to build up their numbers.

I have a Golden-winged parakeet, which is part of the same family (Brotogeris). There are a few breeders out there working the Canary-winged, Orange-chinned, Cobalt-winged and Golden-winged parakeets now. You still aren't likely to find them in your neighborhood pet shop but they are definitely worth seeking out.

You should join the broto list on Yahoo -- LOTS of nice folks. Brotogeris : A friendly forum for the discussion of all aspects of breeding or owning Brotogeris.(Grey Cheeks, Canary Wings, White Wings, et

Cassie -- I didn't realize that one of your pairs hatched a baby! CONGRATULATIONS! That is WONDERFUL news

You're so lucky to have come across the ones that you did... I'd love to have a cheekie one day in the future but for now, Pickle is perfect!

BTW -- I never heard back from the lady w/ the canary-winged 'keet. I'm assuming that she found a good home for her/him.
