Re: The Great Billed Parrot I don't know tons about them, but I know they can be very playful and are good at keeping themselves entertained. They are BIG chewers! I don't know about this species, but I believe Indian Ring Necks are related to the Eclectus.
The Great Bills are similar in temperment to the Alexandrine and IRN. They are not terribly social and don't like to be 'petted', but can certainly be more inclined to adapt to social situations with lots of 'outside' exposure at an early age. They can bond with more than one person and they're delightful to hear 'chatter' to each other as babies.
Susanne Cochran of Avalon Aviary in Loveland, CO breeds them and I just got to see two babies last month. They are adorable, but not small. lol I'm afraid this is about all I know but they are supposed to be wonderful companions: fiercely loyal.
