Re: Who am I to mess with Mother? LOL CC, hey folks...I love ya all dearly...
The company I used to work for also hired illegal mexicans a few year back, but the truth is this, these are migrant workers who are suppose to be up here picking fruits and such, now they are not only staying up here (illegally) they are venturing into skilled trades.
This will only hurt everyone concerned...EVERYONE.
Do we really need another 911 to make us wake up and protect our boarders, just how many are to die this time before the eyes are opened?????
What about Jobs for our children????
Anyways...My old boss is just that, he is well into his late 60's and getting ready to retire, he still has a few small jobs here and there but for the most part the company is shut down, this effected many men, me being one.
I have to re-think things here, as I have said, my desire to help animals is just that (my Desire), All was fine when I had the funds to self support my Rescue Facility...now things are getting un-managable, I simply can't get caught up, I have tried...
People call me from all over the USA, in the past I covered all charges to get sick and injured Pigeons to me for help, lately I have been forced to ask the person with the bird to cover the costs, this hurts me badly, but its the way things are right now.
I understand the Gabriel Foundation, I understand Beaks & Wings Exotic Rescue, I understand Second Chance Bird Rescue, the struggling to keep the facilities up and running.
I mainly help wild animals here, Many Many...Birds of Peace aka Doves & Pigeons and mothers small creations Squirrels and Wabbits.
I have been thinking about setting up a paypal donation fund, but I know nothing about TAXES and the headaches that follow....Gary (Winged Victory) recently offered to send me medications to help, I am tempted to take him up on his offer.
I have to stop allowing my birds to breed, this simply can't happen anymore.
Besides, they are looking at me funny as if to say, "why are you taking my babies?"
I need to improve on sneaking in fake eggs...LOL
This week brought me 3 birds of peace, so far 38 have found there way to me, I treated there illnesses and most have been released, some re-homed with other rescue facilities, several are still here with me, they are perminately injured, I have 3 now that will be released next spring when I am sure they can handle it.
What can I say, all rescue facilities have finacial issues, I am but one...things will work out, things are just overwhelming right now...
Spring time of 2007 brought me more little ones than I imagined, then I lost my regular employment...but tommorows a new day...
Take Care everyone.
