Default Walk With Me

Many years ago the bird of peace rushed into my life, this bird entered my heart with such demanding force and the tears have fallen ever since that day.
I wish there were as many rewarding stories to tell you all as there has been sad stories, I really pray there world was much different, I find myself praying for peace for the bird of peace.
My e-mail is full of "please help", "found injured Pigeon" and the headings go on and on.
I made a choice oneday to help these birds, not only patch up there injuries, not just set the Broken Wings, not simply to end there suffering from a sickness, but to end there suffering at the hands of Mankind.
We all see abuse within the Exotic world, but please make no mistake, the bird of peace better known as the Pigeon is the number one abused bird in the world.
From mass poisonings to the Racing Pigeon world, to little Johnny trying out his new bb gun these birds suffer each and everyday.
A needless suffering to say the least.
I am trully haunted by these birds.
I have given these birds a generous amount of my life, freely with no conditions attached.
Recently the owner of ParrotChatter contacted me with a very serious concern, I will respect his words and pray he and his mate except my apology.
I will continue to try and protect these birds but understand the need for restraints, in the political world one must approach all concerns with caution.
Abuse is a horrible world, one will find the abuser very defensive and thinking he/she has the right to abuse, after all animals are of the LESSER species.
In my world, Animals are adorned, they are placed before my needs, they come first, I will go without so they will have what they need.
I can be very harsh when it comes to protecting animals, This is me, I can not expect this from others.
I can only place items on the table and ask you humbly to sit down and share the meal that I have provided.
I can only ask you to please "Walk with me on a very (sometimes lonely) path as I struggle to end there suffering".
Please don't be scared, Please don't fear those that seem to have such power in the quest to keep such abuse happening!
In the end, when our name is called, we will have to answer for everything we have done during the life that was given to us.
The bird of peace thanks you for visiting there forum, they wish to thank everyone that has reached out to understand there world, they wish for a sincere peace to be with each and everyone of you.
I am but there humble servant, I am a keeper and caregiver and I struggle to protect them.
I offer my hand, "Please, won't you walk with me?"

My given name is Arty Joe Tovar, birds call me,
BrokenWing

You do so much for these beautiful creatures Arty, and I have so much respect for you. I only wish I could do more. Someday I hope to have a large loft so that I can at least provide a home for a few unwanted souls.

Thank you for your kind remarks.
Currently 2 e-mails have come accross my desk, both are in France.
They don't have Petshops over there as we know them, Kaytee Exact baby bird formula is unheard of.
One person has a Pigeon in there kitchen and is afraid to handle the bird, I suspect the wing is either broken or dislocated, this person has contacted a vet and was told to bring the bird in so he could put the bird down.
Wildlife rehabbers are un-heard of, so I finally located a Pigeon Fancier near this person, and after a few e-mails I came to the decission that this person will help, not kill.
The other is a little 2-3 week baby with a sour crop or maybe a bacterial issue, the baby is throwing up, no baby bird mix to be found, not kaytee anyways, but after a few e-mails and suggestions this person was able to contact a vet and get some Biotics, and was able to find a baby bird formula similar to Kaytee, all seems to be okay now.
I did learn something, I need to become more familiar with how things work in France and other euro countries.
All I ask is, "please walk with me", and reach out and help if you can.

Hi Jac, congrads on being the number one member of the board, you shine.
Thanks for helping me find contacts in France...hopefully...
Now it seems there's a Home Depot somewhere out east that has Pigeons trapped in there garden area and they are starving.
I can't seem to find the thread where I posted pictures of a simple box trap, using the search feature isn't helping at all.
I know I posted the link somewher...
