Default Terror in Survival

Recently a new Highway went up close to me, as soon as it opened I ran the road and was amazed at seeing a small flock of Pigeons had already home steaded 3 bridges, the speed limit is 70 miles per hour, Sooooo I adopted these birds and feed and water them each weekend.
There's a law here no stopping along the highway unless it is an emergency so I have to be very fast while stopping under the bridges to spread seed and leave a tub of fresh water.
I be sure to place the piles of seed and water far from the roads edge, Today I made a few stops and found 2 Pigeons flattened by the curb, some worthless person went out of there way to run these 2 birds overs and kill them, as with most highways there's a shoulder for emergency stopping, so whomever ran these birds over done this deliberately.
I travel this highway often and always check on these Ferals, oneday a Falcon sat perched on a light pole waiting for the right moment, I watched a semi truck almost hit one bird, the life of the Highway Pigeon is terror.
Oneday I found my water dishes had been taken, this kinda makes me wonder who else is visiting these flocks of Highway Pigeons and what there intentions are.
Why people can't leave these birds alone haunts me.
They risk there lives each and everyday simply to survive, then folks go out of there way to assure they don't survive.
I can't risk taking the time to snap a few photos, oneday the Highway Patrol is sure to ticket me, hopefully I can open His-Her heart to my intentions, but I know my stops will not go well after the first warning.
Is there no end to there suffering, such horror they endure each and everyday.
So many prayers

Be careful out there Arty. Even though theres a place to pull over, its still unsafe when cars are flying by at 70mph and more. You're a good guy.

Yes Arty, please do be careful! Too many little ones depend on you to let something happen.
