Default Ringneck Dove

This pair of ringnecks have been feeding at my mini sanctuary for over two months now.
Each day they come closer to me and today one almost took seed out of my hand.
It sat only inches from me for at least two minutes, pecked seed from the ground, sat some more looking at me...and, took off.

I also have 2 mated pair of Morning Doves that come here to eat and drink.
Sounds as if the Doves that visit you have been tamed at some point, then also Animals know whom to trust, there's a good chance these birds are Feral and simply know they can trust you.
Keep up the great kind caring ways and soon enough you will have earned there trust and friendship and soon they will feed right out of your hand.
Mother has provided such beauty for all of us to enjoy, the hard part is convincing others to find the time to stop and relax and enjoy such beauty.
Take Care
BW

We don't have Ringneck Doves around these parts, but we sure do have lots of Mourning Doves. We see them more in the winter time at the feeders (flocks of 20 to 30 at times), but the mated pairs do come around some now as well. Get any pics of those Ringies Susan? Sounds like they'll be eating out of your hand any day now!

No pics of the RN's yet.
I have probably 10-15 mourning dove that visit every morning and night as well as a family of cardinals, a pair of blue jay, a pair of woodpeckers, a family of blackbirds and others, several scubjay, flocks of wren. seagulls...I have one blackbird with only one leg. Here are some of my wild fids...

Can never seem to get a good shot of a woodpecker...
