I just want everyone to know.
I don't just go out the door to help the bird of peace that needs help.
I don't turn my back and walk away from those that continue to harm (any animal).
I fight for birds, if this means rattling a few chains then so be it.
These people that harm there own birds, don't care when doing so.
Its a norm to them....
Well, not this man....I will not simply fade off into the night....
I will go to my grave protecting them and fighting for change.
I don't simply point out the problem, I offer sound solutions.
If I am banned or asked to leave Parrot Chatter for posting my efforts here, then so be it, but I will say with all honesty....my efforts will continue elsewhere if need be.
Where better to help birds than a bird forum....
Wars are not won by those that lay there weapons down and run.
Currently, animals are paying the ultimate price, its way past time for the abuser to get whats coming to them, and this man will be there to assure they do.....
Bottom line.....

I have read quite a bit on racers, how it's done and culling.
I hate that "sport?"
Same with the breeders who raise Dove for release at weddings and such. Most don't expect to get them back and don't care...they got their money!

I don't know how you do it Arty!
You have got to be the most caring person I know.

We are right in behind you! This week I have seen 2 new doves to my yard. They are the most beautiful silver color. Really smooth looking. Quite large too. I have named them Arty and Rose Ann.

Thanks Jess....

I was once approached by a bird club that wished my help, when I asked for there help I was denied because I caged birds and provided information concerning breeding.

I provide information, this does not mean I support that information.

I have said this before, it is not I that am hurting the Racing Pigeon Industry, its there own members.

I know all there is about Pigeon Racing, and the horrors done unto the bird of peace, I voice my opinions of this so called (prestigious sport).
Do I wish for this ancient sport to up and go away, you better believe I do, but better yet, I wish to meet them somewhere in the middle, but if you put up walls, stick to your ways, then I will fight you with a greater effort.
One way or another, changes will be made......
Recently, one of our bridges fell into the Mississippi river, the media pointed the finger at Pigeons, little did anyone know, my wife and I were already documenting how many pigeons living under that bridge were lost banded Racing Pigeons.
Many pictures were taken, the results have been submitted to the mayor of Minneapolis.
Changes are coming Racing Pigeon World, not due to my efforts, due to the lack of your efforts.....

Well,Arty, I appauld your work. If it wasn't for you we all would not have the knowledge about the Bird of Peace. I have learned so much more about them. Without your help in a few cases that I have asked about, those cases would have not ended the way I would have liked. Thank You !!

Arty as you know you are my hero, you are the one who opened my eyes to this beautiful bird of peace, because of you I opened my doors to any in need.
Just yesterday I had a weak broken down racer brought to me, This poor thing was so weak, can't fly, chest bone sticking way out and covered in feather mites. This bird is banded. We did located the owners and they moved out of state letting their birds go.
I am so tired of seeing these racers and homers left to fend for themselves, left weak and tired with no help.
Thank god for some people who actually care, and found this little guy and brought him here to me.
I refuse to give these birds back to the owners, they don't care about these poor birds.
Like you Arty I will fight for them.
you should be so very proud of yourself for things you have done and will still do for the bird of peace.
you should be proud at how many peoples eyes you have opened, and how you have shown people these are not just dirty pigeons, they are in fact beautiful birds that like all others deserve to be cared for and respected ,I thank you from the bottom of my heart, you will always be a hero in my eyes !!
