#1 | | | Rehoming my Pigeons I met a wonderful person in northern Mn that wishes to have Pigeons on there farm.
Carrie and her husband rescue Horses and Dogs.
They recently built a very large loft and were looking for Pigeons.
Well they adopted all my birds.
I am keeping Miras Mother and her Mate.
The Dunn is sitting on a new Baby, I was watching the second egg hatch yesturday, New life was coming into the world, but sadly when I checked today the little one didn't make it, A reminder how precious life is.
I am assuming the Hand feeding in 2 weeks to tame this new little one, I will start taking pictures.
Maybe there is someone out there that would like to stand up for this little one and adopt.
So Far I can see the bird will be mainly white with a hint of Brown.
Camille, If you stop in this thread, the Box arrived yesturday.
Just a reminder folks, I cover all costs to ship my babies to the adoptor, All that is required is the cost of returning the Shipping box.
(no disrespect) but the adoptor must be a ACTIVE ParrotChatter member.
The Pigeon is a very wonderful little bird, they just can't talk, but they can love you...(FOREVER).

#4 | | | Re: Rehoming my Pigeons This is BOB, Miras brother, He is kept inside just as a Parrot is, His cage is the size of a large Parrot, fact is Bob was adopted by a good friend of mine named Kate from the Bird Brains forum, Kate has adopted many birds from me in the past, Doves, Pigeons, Love Birds, Keets.
I also gave her Bob's Cage, I think I have a picture of Bob's cage somewhere.
Pigeons can be kept just as a Parrot is and in the same room, the only difference is "they can't talk".
They need out of cage time to stretch there wings, and if trained properly they can be free flown outside, they will never leave you, Just ask Camille..LOL
I will see if I can find Bob's cage pictures and post them.
Sooooo, Here's Bob, not the best pictures but one can see, the Pigeon can be kept indoors just like a Parrot.

#6 | | | Re: Rehoming my Pigeons Yes Grandma, I would concider it an Honor to re-home one of my birds with you.
You are a Valued (active) ParrotChatter Member, I have followed your threads and responces.
Please stop in the Pigeons & Doves forum and follow along as I post pictures of this little one, I pray all goes well out in the loft for the next 2 weeks, then I will take over to assure this little one is Tame.
I know you followed the thread where Camille stood up for one of my Babies, so you know all goes well with the adoption, we will have to keep an eye on the weather also, I won't ship if the heat reaches 85.
Thank you for opening you heart to the Pigeon, This means so very much to me...but most important....it means the world to them.
Sooooooooo, lets keep our fingers crossed that all goes well.
The Dunn and her mate will lay again real soon, so if anyone else would like one of there little ones (Hand Tamed), Please keep your eye on the Dove-Pigeon forum here on ParrotChatter.
This is an exclussive folks, I maybe a member of other bird forums but I will only offer my birds here on ParrotChatter.
As you all can see my birds are very healthy and BEAUTIFUL.
