As far as getting a friend, how about starting out as you being the best friend for now, these are very gentle birds, they are the bird of peace.

I currently have very little money stashed away, seems there are several King Pigeons out in California that need help, otherwise I would ask you to get that Dove for me.
These birds will be put down if help doesn't arrive soon....you know me....I can't allow that to happen...sooner or later Wells Fargo is gonna shut my card off...LOL
But for now...I have to help if I can.....

Hubby said........... YES!!! He's going to be coming home with me tomorrow and will be spoiled rotten We will build him a bigger cage as soon as we get the extra funds and materials to do so but in the meantime he will live in the 2 x 4 ft cage and will get out of cage time too! Pictures to come tomorrow of him!!!

Thanks everyone, i'm really excited too!! Now I just have to think of a name! The shop opens in less then an hour and I can go and get my baby, I will post some pics as soon as I get home!!!

I'm SO SAD!!! I went over there with a small cage to bring him home in and walked into the store and Rich the husband (owner) was the only one there today and I didn't see the dove in the cage and asked him where he was? He said that he was sold last night only about 20 minutes before the store closed!!! I couldn't believe it, yesterday his wife was the only one there when I was there but said her hubby would be in later but god I figured she would tell her husband that I was going to be getting him at least! She obviously forgot to tell him and went home about an hour before closing because she had a bad headache or something and totally forgot to tell him!!! I was so upset, I know mistakes happen but come on! I can only hope that the person that got him was the person supposed to get him being the odds are so strange that he had been there for a year and no one wanted him and then I finally want him and he gets sold on the night before i'm supposed to get him. I can only assume that's the way it was simply supposed to be but i'm still so sad I was already picking out names and everything for him and got his cage all set up nice. The husband felt really bad of course but it's not his fault his wife didn't say anything to him about it. I'm so disappointed, I was really looking forward to having a dove friend..... I just really hope that whoever bought him will love him and spoil him and keep him forever
