This was taken yesterday afternoon.....she took a dip in the pond and then flew up onto the rock statue to preen her feathers! I just happened to have the camera in my hand! Such a proud new mother I am!

This was the first day I spotted her....she rarely goes in this tree anymore.

There is a bad storm going thru here with torrential rains, thunder and lightning.....it is 6pm and very dark out. I am thinking about laying a rung over the overhang to cover Abigail and close her in a little. She looks like she might be spending her first night here in bad storms. I just checked on her between the lightning flashes and she is huddled up there still. Should I leave her or try to cover her in a little?
