Exterminating companies spend valued time and money to advertise there lies concerning the bird of peace, to keep the money coming in killing these wonderful birds.
Here in the Dove & Pigeon forum I and others do there best to change the way folks think about these birds, David Roth from the Urban Wildlife Society also does all there group can to help the Pigeon re-gain there dignity and stop the needless killings.
There are other solutions, the answers can be found right here in the forums.
I can't tell you all how much resistence I run into,From folks trying to discredit my work to complaints of seeing dead pigeons in my posts, anything to stop my work and or limit my work.
The Racing Industry, The National Hunters Association, The exterminating world, all very powerful entities do battle with me and groups I am associated with, (the money and killing ways simply must continue).
If one looks at my Petition to federally protect the Pigeon, compare this petition to others, such as save the wolfs, look at the signatures, folks simply don't care about the bird of peace, unless the birds are bothering them...then they care...they care enough to complain and have them poisoned.
As David Roth says in the film, this is a never ending battle, Make no mistake, I will go to my grave "fighting for the bird of peace".

I was watching this video & my Budgies came & both watched from my shoulder for a bit. It was very touching.

I loved the simplicity of the experiment & the elevated dignity & living conditions of the birds effected by the experiments.
It is good news - i know there is still lots to do but it is very encouraging to see such progressive & intelligent groups supplying doable solutions. It was also encouraging to see that the effort spans generations.

This video is of the manority of ones out there of pigeons & doves. Many that you might view, (such as on UTube) are based on Pigeon & Dove control or elimination and they aren't, in my opinion, pretty sites to see.
When searching on the net for info about Pigeons prior to getting Gem, I was apalled to find more sites that gave negative info and sick videos of what the heartless do to them.
