I'm sure this has been posted before but, here it is again for those who missed it.

Federally protect the Feral Pigeon aka the Dove

Target: Ellen Walley, 911pigeonalert

The Pigeon is mankinds oldest feathered friend, this bird helped save lives before the telegraph or phone was invented, they flew the skies delivering messages from hospital to hospital, they fought next to our troops in many wars including the Iraq war,this bird shares the sky with other birds and currently is being slaughtered accross the USA by the numbers just for the fun of it as they are not protected by any laws.
Please help these birds that deserve honor instead of persecution.
The Dove aka the Pigeon aka the Rock Dove is our nations symbol of PEACE.

From horrific shootings, illegal nettings to supply private live pigeon shoots, to mass poisonings by city officals, then lets not forget little Timmy with his new BB gun, "please mommy can I shoot the Pigeon in the garage"....
The bird of peace needs salvation, they have litterally given there lives so many humans could live...

That is just sickening! I cant see why anyone would do that!

Today as I walked through center city Philadelphia for my pre op visit, I watched the pigeons like never before. I worked in the city for many years and never gave it as much thought as now. As I watched them I almost want to run over and say "step up!" They're so smart, walking around like people almost. But today, standing at 11th & Walnut, watching a beautiful brown and white baby carefully crossing the street, I thought of Arty, Susan, and Camille. The bird of peace has brought the 3 of you together for life! Why cant everyone see them like we do here?

I remember when I told Arty that I would love to bring Gem into my life...Leigh, If I am not mistaken, you had thoughts of doing the same. Are you still concidering it? I think you would give one of Arty's little ones a loving home.
