#24 | | | Re: Olive at her new home I felt her crop area and it felt empty I guess, I don't really know what to look for.
I will put her in her cage and I will periodically peek in at what she is doing. I go to work at 10:30 today, I am thinking I will leave her here where it is quiet and see if she eats while I am gone, I shouldn't be gone more than 5 hours.
I will bathe her as soon as she is settled in, eating well and so on...I don't want to add anything else on top of all the other adjustments for her...and me!
I just want to be the perfect mom and I have to admit I am feeling a little unsuccesful here
I just love her. |

Now things appear like she was used to here, this will help her to adjust.
Birds use the air taken in at that time, we human and other mamals store oxygen to use later, any toxins will be deadly to Olive.
You are doing a great job Roxanne, a very vigilent mother, please don't ever worry about asking to many questions or needing help, all members here on PC will help if they can...
The anatomy within birds is basically the same.
I think I posted information concerning healthy Pigeon droppings here in the forum somewhere, The droppings should appear dark green, a little white, with a small amount of fluid...thats when she is eating nothing but seed.
