If you have found a Pigeon in need of help, Please look to see if there is a
band on the leg of the bird, if there is a band please write the numbers
down, this is a racing pigeon and finding the owner will be very helpful to
both bird and owner.

Using a medium sized box please place a heating pad in the bottom of the

box only to cover half the bottom and set the heat on low, please cover this
with an old clean t-shirt or a cloth that is 100% cotton, Place a small dish
of water in the box, fill to at least 1 inch deep as pigeons/doves suck as
we humans do using a straw, Please don't offer the bird any food at this
time.

Please cover the box and punch holes for air and keep the box in a safe
quite area, the bird is frightened and needs to calm down.

After sending e-mails to the owner of the Pigeon Rescue site that have gone un-answered, I finally reached this person and requested he remove my information off the site, this hasn't happened yet.
I can no longer efford to continue Rescue work.
My employment has changed and my wage now is less than half of what I used to earn, I simply cant efford to stay up and running.
Soooo, today I rescued my last bird, I am now officially closed down.
For those that are seeking help with a lost and or injured bird I can only advise you to go to 911pigeonalert or 911parrotalert.

may you find your way in what ever you choose arty. you have been such a great help to me in teaching me pigeons are not just pigeons ... etc.. i looked for the other thread but still am not good at find things on board but wanted you to know how i feel... good luck my friend

As I posted to you on my board,I know in my heart and yours you will always be there for the little ones!! You have tought me so much,tought me to open my rescue doors to all in need,you have given me the courage to do things that I may not have.you mean the world to me and I will always be walking with you my friend !

Arty, for all the birds you rescued, let me say thank you. Thank you for rescuing so many lovely birds and animals. You helped me see pigeons in a different light. You did what you could. Thank you. Don't stop giving us beginners as much help as you're able. We love ya!

May your fortunes change for the better. You will always be the one who changed how i viewed the Pigeon - even tho i always thought they were interesting i had no idea until i met you.

I know this must be very hard on you - just hope it isn't tearing you apart inside. I have always enjoyed learning from you & reading all your threads. All the creatures that you have helped are blessed. May you have many more opportunities to help as i know it is what you want to do.
