No....that was not a zoom lens...he lets me get close wherever he is. He actually eats out of his dish while on an outside loveseat with me.
Arty, I am having a problem feeding Abi for the last month. The squirrels are at my back door on the patio every morning waitng for me to bring Abis' seed dish out. The minute I put it on the canopy or anywhere else they scare Abi away from it. Is there any other way I can feed him. I even tried throwing seed on the patio and putting out another dish of seed for the squirrels but they insist on going in his dish. I tried standing out there with a water pistol....believe it or not and these squirrels like to be squirt with the water...nothing scares these tenascious squirrels away!

What a handsome boy! I wish you luck with the squirrels, Donna. Wish I had some advice for you. I suppose there's way too many of them for trapping and relocating them to do any good?

I know.....these same two squirrels have been here since last year. I guess they are a mated pair. Well now they brought two other friends that hang around for seed too. I was thinking about trapping them and moving them but I am sure they would find there way back here... with my luck!
Abi has been coming here less and less because he cannot eat here anymore!

Is there some sort of a stand you could make to put the dish on to lift it above the ground...like out of PVC pipe? Could a squirrel climb up like 4 feet of 1" PVC pipe?? I guess I don't know.
