Hey guys,

I'm moving to a much bigger house in September, with a big yard, so I want to build an outdoor aviary for my doves. So I'm looking for advice on how to go about it, what materials to buy, ect. My doves have always lived indoors with me, and I would really love for them to be able to fly outdoors in the sun. Right now I'm really clueless, so any advice would be appreciated

Well, depends on how much you want to spend.
A Dove cote would be okay, but Doves don't home.
They would surely take off on ya...
Susan had some plans drawn up for her outdoor cage.
You can check into the Grandmas Gem thread and she has posted a picture of her idea, I believe this would work well for you and you little birds of peace.

Thank you for that link, I will have to sit down and read through the thread, but just had a quick glance and seems like I can find plenty of information there. By the way those baby pics of Gem just MELTED my heart! Grandma is so lucky to have such a precious bird!

You could build one of these then surround it in 1 inch wire fencing.
