ps...nice pond. Its that for waterfowl rehab?

I have removed the pond since that photo was taken, I found myself cleaning more than anything, then my neighbor began putting all kinds of fish in it,highly illegal to take fish from our lakes and place them into private ponds, then one night My wife was hanging laundry out to dry and saw a complete stranger sitting next to the pond, this kinda upset her.
Talk about wildlife, ducks, geese, frogs, there were things in that pond that I simply couldn't explain, but the day a 3 ft northern pike came by my leg as I was cleaning the bottom is the day I decided the pond was simply drawing more unwanted guest then I had expected, The pond was close to 8,000 gallons, took 2 days to fill with wide open hose, much work...much work.
Our aviaries, Rescues, loft to clean, my full time job, the pond, the yard work...I had no private life what so ever...
Today I received 2 calls, 1 from Tenessee, and the other from Missouri, I tracked 2 racing pigeon owners and got there birds back to them.
Crazy world, rescues take up a generous amount of my life, but my heart is full, my gas tank may be running on empty...but my heart is full...LOL

Pigeon abuse was recently reported to me, please read the following.
Apparently it does no good to report abuse; I tried to help these injured and starved Pigeons.
My cries fell onto deaf ears, so I am trying to get help from the media.

I recently received an email from a very nice young man that is a keeper of
Pigeons, I have re-homed several Racing Pigeons with this young man.
Recently I was called to a home in St. Paul to pick up 2 injured Pigeons,
both died from there injuries, when I arrived at this house there were
Pigeons on the house roof, the Garage roof, and many Pigeons in a tree in
the back yard.

in there garage. Their pigeons get fed once every 2 days and barely get
water to drink and when they do, it is so dirty. They stuff so many pigeons
in a cage that they fight until they bleed and are getting really sick. I
don't want to see them raise pigeons anymore because they miss treat them to
much and when I do try to help, they yell at me. I can't even believe that
their pigeons are still alive from all this torture. I can't stand it
anymore. I want to stay unknown, not named, but I wanted to see if you could
do anything? They are the worst pigeon fanciers I have ever seen. If you get

You will notice the 911 area suggested at the top of the web page, After
trying to contact a real person on this site I finally gave up and dialed
911, I live in Coon Rapids, Mn so the 911 dispatcher transferred me over to
St. Paul, that dispatcher contacted local animal control and forward my
information to them, I waited 3 hours for the return phone call, I described
the content of the e-mail to the community officer, the officer called me
back stating all the Pigeons outside and the make shift loft appeared (get
by), I asked about the Pigeons inside the Garage, the officer replied I was
told there are no Pigeons inside the garage and without a warrant I can't
access the inside of the garage.
He continued with saying they couldn't go into the garage on hear say.
I explained that I have been in that garage, there are birds in that garage
being miss-treated some are starving with filthy water, and a few are bloodied
from fighting as there are to many in each cage, I also have another person
that was in that garage just yesterday and it was this person that e-mailed
me, so this is not just hear say.
The officer ended our conversation by stating he would need to talk with the
chief investigating officer to determine if a warrant is to be issued.
I simply don't understand this animal protection issue, why report animal
abuse when nothing can or will be done about it?
Those injured birds will be removed and maybe even killed before anything
will be done to cover up the abuse.
I am asking you folks for help, its very plain that the authorities can not
help animals that are being abused.

I have been to this house to pick up 2 injured Pigeons, both died from there

he was refused entrance to the garage are where these birds are located.
I understand that your facility is in the Minneapolis area however I am

that are living under horrible conditions, any political gesture from your
facility will help these birds get help.

Do not mention anything about me. Say something like one of there neighbors were complaining and that the police will take action if they have to. I do not want them thinking that I was the one who told you. They know that we are good friends so don't give them any info on who told you. proper authorities can handle it. Tell them that the neigbors were

birds flying on there roof. The guys name is Pao Vang, but his nickname

Hey Arty, the people that came forgot to check Pao's garage and the top
left corner of their
backyard. They have a pile of dead pigeons there. They might of buried
them by now
because they came and only checked outside instead of in the garage.
They also have
chickens. I think they are raising them for cock fights. THEY HAVE TO
TAKE THOSE
CHICKENS TO A SAFE FARM. I don't want to see chickens get hurt. It
makes me sick to see it.
Their garage is full of pigeons forced to live in cages full with other
pigeons where they
always fight. Even if they give them water, it is full of pigeon
dropping. Make sure they
check these places. I want them to stop abusing animals. Thanks to your
help they are one
step closer to never raise pigeons like this again.

My name is Arty Tovar, I own Broken Wing Wildlife/Exotic/Pigeon rescue & rehab, I also maintain Broken Wing Pigeon Sanctuary here in Coon Rapids, Mn.
I am a 911pigeonalert Moderator & In field rescuer.
On April 23, 2006 I met a young man named Chia, I agreed to re-home some racing pigeons with him, I met with Chia at a relative of his named Pao Vang, address 1014 Prosperity ave, St. Paul, Mn 55106.
Upon arrival I noticed several pigeons on top the house, when arriving in the back yard I observed a tree with close to 30 Pigeons, In the garage I saw many cages on the floor with many Pigeons in each cage, No feed and or water was visible, I complained to Chia and Pao concerning the conditions the birds were enduring and was told they were being transported to another loft, Chia said the birds I was about to give him were going home with him to his loft.

On May 16th , 2006 Pao Vang called me asking if I could rescue a hen Pigeon from there house with a broken wing, I went to the home and rescued 2 Pigeons, a Hen with a broken wing and her baby who had a broken leg, both pigeons were also sick, I kept the 2 birds in isolation and treated there injuries, both had Salmonella poisoning, I began treatment for the virus but it was applied to late and both birds died.
I contacted Chia and refused to rehome any more birds with him, I stated the pigeons were being abused at Pao Vangs house.

Recently I began receiving the e-mail posted above.
On Friday the 13th of October 2006 I contacted St. Paul 911 concerning the issue and described the conditions inside the garage, the dispatcher then stated to me they would contact animal control and animal control would contact me.

3 hours later a animal control officer returned my call his name is Mike Lerox, apparently he was at the wrong house with the address of 1034 prosperity, I checked my records and I did provide the wrong address and advised him of the correct address.
As he neared the house in question I began describing what he would see, I stated there would be Pigeons on top the house, the officer replied “yep”, I said the driveway will go along the right hand side of the house, The officer said “yep”, the house next to the driveway is blue, Again I heard “yep”.
The garage is at the end of the driveway but the door is on the left hand side, the officer replied “yep”, there is no grass in the back yard and you should see a tree with many Pigeons in it to the left, Again I heard “yep”.
The officer then stated he was knocking on the door and we discontinued our conversation.
One half hour later the officer called me back, he stated he didn’t know much about Pigeons but the birds outside appeared to be okay and the make shift loft also appeared okay, I asked about the birds inside the Garage, The officer responded “I was told there are no Pigeons inside the garage”.
I explained what I saw there earlier and read the e-mail from the young man that was in that garage earlier that day, The control officer then stated to me, “this is America”, “I can’t enter the garage without a search warrant”, “I can’t get a search warrant on hear say”, I became a little upset with this comment and stated to the officer 2 eye witnesses are not Hear Say, the officer then said he would speak with his supervisor to decide if a warrant will be issued.
(End of conversation).

I myself have seen unspeakable conditions within that garage, the person reporting the conditions also witnessed conditions of bloodied Pigeons, starving with no fresh water, feces everywhere.

The birds I rescued from this address were with Salmonella poisoning, these birds were found outside of the garage and possibly infecting other Pigeons housed outside, according to the e-mail above many birds have either been destroyed or contacted the Salmonella.

I pray the above statements made will warrant an investigation of Mr. Pao Vang, 1014 Prosperity Ave, St Paul, Mn 55433 and Phone. 651-793-4281
