But know it is you that amazes me.
When I walk alone, I am weak, there seems no reason, my vision is limited.
When we walk together, other pathways become visable, alternatives become reality, for now there are 2 of us, I am no longer alone.
I have set many a Broken Wing in my years, so many have flown away from me to be free as this was the way it was intended to be, this is why I chose BrokenWing as my alias.
I am a bird trapped within this human form, I am with a Broken Wing, one day this wing of mine will heal and I will fly away from this human shell and on that day I pray His hand extends to welcome home this flyer.
My love for birds has caused me many smiles and much happiness, sadly there is also a world of such frustrations and much saddness, I ask the lord why he has chosen me for this work, I have yet to receive an answer, maybe there is no answer.
All I know to be true is, I can't be BrokenWing without YOU!

Hi Arty, I am brand new to this forum site....it took me a three day online search to find it. I hope you can respond to my help post. I would like to know what to do with the bird and what not to do. Bye the way I read about you on your post....you are amazing. I too am a rescuer....not too much here in
Forida yet but back in Jersey where I grew up I rescued from a kill shelter for many years and from the streets....I saved many and many broke my heart. Keep up the good work. I love to hear about people like you..

Your past being a rescue person is interesting, I have been helping Wildlife/Birds for over 18 years now, I love what I do.
I can be aggressive as I am also a animal rights type of person.

Hi Arty, This story about those pigeons in a garage being abused reminded me of a rescue me and my friend tried to do back in Jersey. We rescued from a kill shelter in a town where animal abuse and neglect was rampant. I literally pulled my car over one day there to pick up an 8 week old pup off the street eating chicken out of a garbage bag. People were just walking by this pup like it was'nt there.....makes me sick the things I saw. Well, we got a call one day on two very young pups hanging out of a broken third floor window......with jagged glass pieces left in the window. They were being held captive in an abandoned crackhouse. We could not go in...these people would have hurt us. To make a long story short by the time the ASPA decided to help us (over a week later)we were told the pups were moved....or killed! When it comes to Government or State involvement in these issues things just don't get done. And look who suffers in the end.....the animals....mans best friend! Makes me angry....I still lose sleep over that situation.

Hi Arty, one more thing of interest....I think animals have a sense about people who care and want to help them.....did you notice they seem to find us or us them? I have an amazing story I would like to share with you sometime about one of my rescues.........all I can say is at the last minute I changed the direction of where I was going! Timing and coincidence seem to be a strong play in helping our friends...but sometimes I think it is something else!

Yes, they know whom to trust, we all recently spoke about human auras and what animals can see we humans can't see.
When I come accross animal abuse I never let up til action is taken, yes I have feared that harm would be done to me, but not as much as the abuser fears me....or they better fear me anyways...LOL
Please start a thread and tell us about your rescue experiences.

Me and my rescue friend were told many times by cops in the town to stear clear. I risked my life many times but you know what....when your trying to save an animal...at least for me.... the adrenalin pumps and you don't even think about anything but saving the animal. I had a one track mind. My family and friends thought I was crazy but no one understands that this is a passion you were born with and the reward of saving an animals life is such a high and so rewarding. It is a cruel world out there for the animals Arty and I hate it. I say my prayers every night for all Gods creatures...to keep them safe and for all harm to end. Maybe some day it will but until then I continue to say.....whatever goes around comes around.....these people will be punished!
