I did give her a bath tonight before I left and just held her and cried.Now I don't want to ask this but I have to,If the sling dosen't work and she is indeed deformed,am I doing her any justice keeping her on this earth?
God this really sucks I feel so much pain for her.

3 months is kinda old, but I would still give the tape a try....
My heart goes out to you and this little one Barb....its these trying times that are so hard on us rescue people....

Arty believe me I know you are with me,I can't tell you how many times when I am holding one of these little ones,I feel you right there with me,you have tought me so much and one day I will meet you and hold your hand in person.

I have a completely blind bird in my loft right now.
I have one on the way that can't use his/her legs.

Try and help Barb...try and help that little one.
Many have fallen silent within these hands, these hands have had to put some down to end there suffering.....

Arty you know me well enough by now to know I don't give up and will fight to do all I can for these little ones.
and I will fight for this sweet dove, and try to make her comfortable .But all I can do is try what her outcome will be only the good lord knows.
I have named her Hope,and that what I have is hope for her.

That little one is very young, who knows he/she may do great living his/her life in a sling, I would use fleece as a meterial and make 2 just in case.
Place the legs through the holes, and tape one and half inches apart, This is going to take alittle effort to get things just right so the bird is comfortable and out of his/her droppings, 6-8 weeks will tell if the taping works to correct the splay...PRAY...
This is really heart breaking but also hopeful...wonderful name...HOPE...
Only you know how much time you have, but if the little one fairs well in the sling and the splay can't be fixed, maybe..just maybe you will have another poster child there to help you combat irresponsable breeding....
Again, you both are in my prayers....
