Thats good news, the cat saliva alone will kill a bird let alone any wounds...
If the fostering parents don't feed that little one very soon you will have to intervene, and I mean very soon, its been how many hours since the little one was rescued?
That little one needs to be fed, I am guessing the baby to be around 3 weeks old.
It will help to search the Dove & Pigeon forum as I have posted information concerning handfeeding and saving the life of a baby bird.
Please thank your daughter for me, she done such a wonderful job in rescueing this little Dove, I am extremely proud of her...

Things are going well ,My doves have adopted the baby,They are cleaning her and feeding.I am very hopeful for her and will keep you posted

This is very good to hear, There is a certain amount of stress for both feeder and bird during hand feeding, this is why I power feed, besides the quicker the feedings are over, the more time for caressing & Love...much love
That little one is a very pretty Morning Dove, I am kinda wondering if the other baby is safe.

Update on our baby Dove she is doing great growing and eating very well,My doves are doing a great job with her,I am so happy she was able to pull through,and have a chance at life,I have named her Spice.
