It is dark here and Abigail did not leave. She flew off earlier and came back...maybe the door to her loft or wherever she goes is closed. There is a storm coming and it is raining...will she be ok up on that canopy? I worry about her now. My boyfriend said he will get the supplies tomorrow to build her a loft. How do I get her to use it? I guess now it will get confusing for her. I just checked on her..it is dark and she is still there. Such a worried Mom!

Don't worry Donna.
She will take care of herself.
She will find shelter.

After you build the loft...put a litter box with food in it and a trough of water. She should go in it with no problem. May take her a few days though.

Thanx for your help Susan. Does a loft look something like a large rabbit hutch? I ask because my Mom had two rescue rabbits years ago and we bought a nice big rabbit hutch for them.
I took a good look at that shed in the backyard, it has a window that can open with a screen, I just think it would be too much work to do adjustments to it. One thing I like about it though is that it is fenced in and I could keep my dogs out of there. I will ask my boyfriend if I could turn it into a loft..if he says yes, could you advice me as to the adjustments to be made?

Hi Donna, take a look at the forum, I have posted some loft pictures and or links to Pigeon Fanciers and there lofts, Mine is still under constuction, otherwise I would snap a few shots of it...
Whatever you decide to do, once built you will need to start feeding Abi there to get your friend to use the loft.
