Now he just has to Christen your freshly washed hair and it will be official that he owns you!

On a serious note, wont this bonding make you worry more?

Karen...You rock! Where did you find that huge smiley?.....Love It! That was the Post of the Year! Thanx!

Leigh, Yes, it makes me think Abi will want to spend the night sometime!
All kidding aside. I do wonder if he would stay in a loft here. I still might build a nice DoveCote. I have the perfect spot for one....right in his flight path at dusk. I noticed Abi does something my Mollucan Cockatoo does. Miki sometimes tries to do this mating thing on the back of my hand ....Abi does this same thing on my head! YIKES! You are right....he might just poopie up there!

He needs a female...if ya know what I mean.
Maybe you could walk into the shed with Abi a few times, that is if he lets you, show him he is welcome there.

Good idea Arty! I will try little by little to walk him to that shed. I have it set up for him already. Makes sense! I would have to walk him little by little. When I held him today it was not for too long. Each day now I will work with him. I will spend more time with him. I usually go out occasionally and check on him, basically leave him alone.
At one time this afternoon when I went out to check on Abi I noticed at least 6 morning doves on the cable wire where Abi used to go. I started to feed them. I threw a whole bunch of seed on the grass.
Abi must be rounding up all his friends! They are all welcome here. In the early morning I must here a dozen or more different varieties of birds chirping and singing!

It is 9:45 am and Abi took a stroll into the backyard and is trying to make friends with some of the morning doves under my orange tree! He is doing his cooing and dance! I went out into the yard at 8am and saw him flying all over in cirles with other birds....how beautiful!

I know Arty! I have to try to get some pics. Abi is doing strange and different things now. Like right outside the back door today I found him perched on the arm of the lawn chair looking in at me! He is walking in different places all over the yard, trying to make friends with the doves! Flying from different trees and flying down to me when I call him......this is all new since he landed on my head! I will have my camera out tomorrow!

Abi has decided that you are the one, Donna. I don't think he's so much trying to make friends with the doves as he's displaying to them, making it clear that he is the head honcho around these parts, and he's being territorial about his nest area and you!
