Abi may have some creepies, common among the wild birds.
It almost looks like Abi has been plucking the feathers in that area.
(going by the picture)....soooo bear with me.
Do you have a kitty litter pan, or something similar in size?
If so, fill with nice cool water and add one tablespoon of Borax...20 mule team borax....hopefully Abi will bathe and this will kill all the creepies, feathers mites and lice and such....
Nooooo, the Borax will not harm Abi if he drinks some water, not with that little being used, I have been using Borax here for many many years...no issues what so ever...

Hi Arty, Just read your post now. I will get some borax and a kitty litter pan. Do they sell Borax in the food stores? Do not remember seeing it, but maybe because I am not looking for it. Will check the food store later and see if I can find it. Thanx for your help Arty. Abi is back to his old habits of staying up on that canopy all day. I think maybe it is a heat thing. Maybe summers when it it hot this will be his spot every year. When the weather cools here in the fall and winter.....he does all his sightseeing and vacationing elswhere!

You buy it in the detegent section...it's in a box.
I also have used it for years.
Spinkle it on your carpet for freshness or if you have a flea problem.

I got mine at Shop Rite.

I often find myself wondering about Abi at random moments. Hoping he is ok.

Getting Abi to bathe in the pan will be a trick, especially since you have the small pond...
But it never hurts to de-lice.
20 mule team borax should still be found in grocery stores, I have a big box of the stuff out in the garage....even Home Depot sells it.
Hope all is okay.

Arty
