Default Hand Feeding Formula

I was wondering what kind of Hand feeding formula the breeders use here?
And what if anything you add?

* I love Kaytee Exact... I have used it for years and have never had a problem with it.
I also add to each feeding baby food, fruit or vegetables... about a 1/4 t.
I have read up on liquid ounces, and it is pretty much the same as what is in baby food, and you get a lot more flavor variety. Also it get the birds used to fruit & vegetable flavors so I have no problem introducing them to the fresh ones.

** Every other feeding I add avian probotics.. here is the link to what I use...

http://www.orchidtreeexotics.net/1106506.html

*** and the every other feeding I add less than an 1/8 t. spirila

Any other Hand feeders care to share their feeding secrets?

I use Kaytee Exact. I used to add human baby food, and then realized how bad it is for them. I now add, when they are older, pureed veggies and fruit for taste and texture.

Although I do not breed, I've handfed many. Up until a couple of years ago, I used Kaytee Exact. Then I took in 3 babies who had already been started on ZuPreem Embrace. I liked it a lot better. Easier mixing, and fewer lumps for me. I've used it ever since. I do not add anything to it.

A well known Ekkie breeder told me recently that she too likes that Z-Embrace (swears by it) - therefore I might give it a try, especially when I get some Ekkie babies.

Everything needed is already in the formula, ocassionally I do also provide ringers solution for hydration, this is offered seperately from feeding.

I don't breed but I keep an Aussie brand called "Passwell" on hand for emergencies if I need to cropfeed a sick bird.

Deb,
Could you tell me why it is bad? I was just wondering....I have used it for years... but if I missed something... I would like to check it out...
I don't want to cause these babies future harm...
Thank you...
