Also: check your local vets. Many have a bulletin board posting animals needing homes OR they might be able to keep your name if a client asks for help in rehoming. Some pet shops do the same, particularly parrot-specific shops.

Again: don't give up! If it's an ekkie you're seeking, they DO come up for adoption and rehome. It's just a matter of time. Or who knows: you might end up falling for another species.
