No worries - I wasn't planning on letting them duke it out or anything like that! At the very least I'm guessing one or both would get hurt, if you let the males into contact with each other in the presence of only one female. I've seen how male zons can get "defending" a (female macaw) love interest or "defending" their own cage. And that was scary enough! I can imagine they are fully capable of maiming (if not killing) another male zon, when fighting over another femalen amazon of the same species!
So instead of letting the males work it out, I was planning instead to see which one the female favored. Then I would set those 2 up in another room (in separate cages, of course!) to let them get to know each other better & see if they bond. I really think it ought to be "Ladies' choice" in these matters, anyway.
