HI EVERYONE.
THANKS FOR THE WELCOME. BILLY AND I WERE NOT EXPECTING THAT! I AM SURE YOU WILL HEAR A LOT ABOUT BILLY. HE IS ONLY A BABY AND I AM AN INEXPERIENCED BIRD MUM. IN THE 3 MONTHS WE HAVE BEEN TOGETHER HE HAS TURNED MY LIFE UPSIDE DOWN AND GIVEN ME MORE GRIEF THAN BOTH MY TEENAGE DAUGHTERS PUT TOGETHER! HE IS MY FIRST AND ONLY BIRD AND I STILL CANNOT BELIEVE THE PSYCHOLOGY AND INPUT THEY NEED. I JOINED THE ALEXANDRINE GROUP AND IF IT WERE NOT FOR THEM I THINK I WOULD HAVE PASSED HIM ON THINKING HE IS A LOST CAUSE. ITS THANKS TO GROUPS LIKE THIS THAT BOTH BILLY AND I ARE STARTING TO ENJOY EACH OTHER AND EACH MILESTONE NO MATTER HOW SMALL MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE. HE HAS ONLY STARTED TO COME ROUND TO ME IN LAST WEEK AND SINCE THEN I HAVE HAD TO TAKE HIM TO VET. IT WORKED OUT OK FOR US BUT I WAS SO WORRIED ABOUT IT DAMAGING OUR SO FRAGILE RELATIONSHIP. I STILL CANT CANT BELIEVE HOW MUCH HARD WORK THEY ARE BUT HE IS WORTH IT. I LOVE HIM TO BITS AND THE FEELING IS VERY SLOWLY GETTING TO BE MUTUAL. I APPRECIATE ANY HELP I CAN GET FROM ANYONE AS BILLY WANTS TO BE AS DIFFICULT AS HE CAN BE. I JUST WANT HIM TO BE HAPPY.

Poor Billy seems to have had a bad start. He was advertised in my local paper but came from about 200 miles away! I was told he was bought for someones mum but had now gone in nursing home. He was only 7 months old. I could hear lots of parrots in the background too. The woman i spoke to wasnt concerned about the fact i knew nothing about them and arranged for him to be brought to me. When he arrived he was so traumatized i couldnt say no. He had and still has a bald head and his beak has a lot of trauma to it. We have had a lot of problems. Had him 13 weeks and only seen a slight bit of progress with him for the last week.
