Default Please pray for success

I had my last (hopefully) cigarette at 10:30pm Tuesday, January 23rd. In 2 1/2 hours I will be 48 hours smoke free. It's been really hard and I've been taking Chantix for the past 3 weeks. I took it for one week and was suppose to have stopped smoking then. HELLO!!! I stopped, and started 4 times the first day. The length of stop times got longer as time went on. I slipped, I lapsed, I fell, I crashed and burned, but each time I said, "OK, ONE MORE TIME" So here I am going into day 3.....hoping, praying and fighting the Nicodemon!

When I came home from work today and came through the door it smelled so much better!

I wish I could find my lighter! (Kidding!)

Good for you Carol.

It is probably the hardest thing you will ever do but also the most satisfying. I quit 14 years ago. It was very hard because all the others in my house were still smoking. I decided that I would not suffer the same fate as my MIL. She had emphysema and went from a vibrant, energetic woman to bedridden at the age of 63.

The hardest times for me were 3 days, 3 weeks and 3 months. After that I had it knocked. I used nicorette because basically that is all they had at the time.

Just keep the faith and be positive. Just think of all the money you will save!!

Way to go! Keep up the good work!

Maryann

Oh, I'm gonna talk to my doc about this stuff....my boss has just started using it on Sunday, and she's smoking 4 cigs a day now, she used to go out every hour and smoke 2......I say it's doing good for her!

Keep it up, in a few minutes, it will be 48 hours!!!
