new members

We are new members to parrotchatter and we our hoping this could be the beginning of making new friends. We are trying to make an educated decision on owning an exotic bird. We have doubts about the sincerity of many retailers. In our search to own an exotic bird we have received much conflicting information. Hopefully your forum can guide us to make the right decisions. It is extremely important for us to do so because we have learned the hard way and not a day goes by that we don't remember that uneducated decision. As a family, we made a vow that we would not let ourselves or anybody misguide us again.

... and Thank you for doing "research" first. I am sure that any questions or misgivings you might have can be either answered or assuaged here by the membership.
You won't regret waiting for the right one. I looked into everything I could for an entire year and joined groups like this one and read every single book ever written, lol before committing to our Ruby (Congo Grey).

I am sure you'll make lots of good friends here.

Welcome to parrotchatter. Research first is always the best thing. Try to visit and meet the adults of all the species as babies are always too cute and never stay that way.
