Hey all,

I acctually signed up a few days ago after a few problems with the email system. I am really having a hard time as I lost one of my severes today to PDD after a long tedious fight. I am so upset and my fiance' is just destroyed.
I don't know what else to say but I will miss her so much and have lost a prescious and blessed friend.

Hi Brian, Welcome to ParrotChatter! So sorry to read about the loss of your beloved Flaka. I hope in some small way our support may help ease the pain for you. It's never easy to lose a loved one and especially to such a devastating disease as PDD. My heart really goes out to you.

I am so sorry to hear of this tragedy. You will be a great help to those who will suffer the same fate. YOur birdy did not die in vain. I hope this is the last of these troubles for you & yours.

It may help to post a memorial to your Flaka - i know i would like to have seen her. We all understand as best we can how it is to lose a loved one.

Try not to be sad all the time - it can really take over your life - you owe it to you & yours to see life's joys as well. I know it will be along time before this pain diminishes but it will lessen. I try & think of all the fun i had & when i feel really sad i fill my time with positive activities. My heart goes out to you & YOurs.

brian, welcome to PC... it might not help a lot to ease your pain, but maybe it can make you feel a little comfortable knowing that we all understand how much it hurts to loose a fid.... i'm very sorry for your loss

Brian welcome. I have a good friend named Brian.
A few years ago, I lost a best friend, his wife and the baby to a selfish drunk driver. It flipped me out. Then, I realized....
How Richard, Amanda and the unborn baby had enriched my life and I felt so very very lucky.
I'm sure your bird knew it was loved and that it had enriched your life..and for that you are lucky indeed.
Anyway, welcome here and keep us posted!
