WOW!! What a welcome!! Thanx all! We have lotsa pix, but unfortunately they're all in the desktop in FL. We're working w/ a laptop here cos we live in a pop-up w/ limited space. We'll try to get some new ones to post to the group, ASAP.

We DO have a question, tho'. Chiquita has mated w/ Buddy & laid 5 eggs. Does anyone know the chances the eggs will be fertile? It's kinda hard to candle them & she's had them over 3 weeks now. She hasn't been very diligent in sitting on them as well.

I am not sure how successful hybrid babies will be or even possible. Sun eggs take 28 days to hatch and they may only start sitting from the second egg. Eggs do not need to be incubated all the time if the weather is warm as they do bury the eggs in the shavings. I would just leave the eggs till they hatch or she loses interest. Taking the eggs only causes more to be laid. I never candle any eggs, I wait to be surprised.

Welcome!

I have seen pictures of a green cheek/sun conure hybrid. So I guess, yes, it's possible.

We have been very busy, so I haven't been in for a while. I'm trying but can't figure how to attach pix. It doesn't work the way I'm used to doing it.
