hey everyone thanks for the warm welcome. Sorry for the delay.. I popped my knee out the other day and was not walking.. UGH !! what a pain ! (REALLY !! LOL).

I will write an intro later if you all want... We have a parrot rescue/bird rescue here in NY since 1976. We are moving to a wonderful farm in upstate NY where we will be building our rescue building with flights, sky lights, play areas.. can't wait !!!

Our main goal has always been to place nice, simple, happy, wonderful birds and keep the insane ones here to figure them out and place them if possible. Lately we have been getting older birds. Chucker a TAG is coming this week is over 30, Lester a LSC is over 20, the "ladies" two amazons are over 50, Max a BG is 28......... now the last month has been tiels.. LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of tiels... 15 yr olds, 12, 9, very few youngsters...


Anyway, thank you again for the warm welcome and I will be back later... tweets need to eat !!

Is the barn & house the new place you're going too? The barn reminds me of how my Gran redid her barn for chickens - many floors.

Your bird photos were killers - the 'pluckers' always tear at my heart.

So glad to hear you understand that some people need help. It worries me that pets are taken away when there are financial troubles or health issues - never to be returned.

Glad you came here to help us too. I'm really sorry to hear about your knee. Hope it repairs well. I'm sure you're one busy person.
