Hiyas!

Found this site after countless hours spent searching for information on canaries. I am a new mommy to 2 awesome canaries, Sunny & Cher!

I had walked into a Petshop before Christmas and as soon as I walked into the door I heard this AMAZING bird singing away. I quickly walked to the bird room and there he was.....

I could NOT believe the sound coming from this tiny lil guy.

I told my husband I HAVE to have one of those birds!!

So the search began, a new Petshop I went and told the girl I wanted a male canary, got him home and settled in and was online reading that it takes time for them to get comfortable before they will sing, well weeks went on and nothing.

Then on Valentines Day my husband got me a Red Factor, he was in his cage 20 mins and he was singing away. Come to find out "Woodstock" (my first canary) was in fact a female and is now called Cher

Oh yeah, I also have a budgie (Blueberry Blossom) and a zebra finch (Zee) and a blue front amazon (Cookie)
And that is my feathered family.

Looking forward to getting to know you all and learning all I can.

Oh, yes, I forgot to say that I love the names! I used to have a canary named Trill and I know what you mean about those beautiful sounds coming from these tiny little things! I am already wanting another just hearing about yours! J
