Hi Dominique,

Nice group of birds there! Beautiful! The birdfarm is a place to get birds old and young. No vasa's. I have never seen a vasa in person. That would be cool! I hear they can fly like no other bird! I do know the owner there the wife loves her rosies and breeds those. The husband has birds everywhere of all kinds coming and and maybe breeding?

How is your Ducorps? I have yet to meet one that hasnt attempted an amputation. Ive had my share of bird bites!

Hi Leigh,

I am trying to figure out the best way to answer questions here. You all have patience please [B. Daphne ducorps is sweet, loveable, smart, all around little perfect bird. Not a mean bone towards us. But I got her as a baby bird. She is now a year and a half old. I do know the ducorps can be a challenge. Not my Daphne so far so good!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I really enjoyed all the photos - The day at the beach was very special & I love the outside aviary with Phil & George. They are really something - love Phil's blue head. Your Toos are amazing - some pluck[ed - past?] & some not; how has that been going?

Hi Jac,

I have two moluccans. Long story short. Tofu my male is my heartbreak. In my story of getting them way back when, him twelve years ago perfect feather at supposeably 9 years old. Then her a couple years later. He started plucking if I remember right from jelousy, I had no idea how I screwed up when I got her. Never read and new anything about moluccans. Then a few years later I went on a vacation and left him at that damn birdfarm not my usual sitter. They had my number for emergency. I was gone six days came back and couldn't get him because they were closed for memorial weekend. I was devestated as I just wanted my birds and hated leaving them in the first place. Finally there open and I see my big boy! Horror struck! He had a hole in his chest! I had no idea birds did this! So there is the beginning of a story that really gets worse for years. That is why I have all my birds flighted, a aviary, and very much into positive reenforcement training.

Oh Peaches my other moluccan was always full feather till I got my BE2 about a year and half ago. I think with him dive bombing her and jealousy and then getting my other birds and started her plucking. She is plucked but I think it can be handled.

My Tofu I am working on him getting his wings were getting there! He had no feathers on his wings, tail, or chest for a long time. He looks good and were working on getting that collar off.
