Just wanted to say Hi & introduce myself after joining the forum today!

My name is Jessica. I am from East Texas. My husband & I have been married for a little over a year and have recently discovered that we are bird people ... haha!
Right now we have Pepper (Chocolate Lab), Homie (Pot Belly Pig), and our newest edition Daisy (Pacific Parrotlet).
We have had Daisy for about a month now and we are working very hard to get her used to us and loving us. She is about 4 months old.
We will soon be getting our own house. We are currently living with my in-laws until their house is finished being built and then we will have the house all to ourselves. At that time we are planning to purchase a Severe Macaw. I have been doing a lot of research on these guys. My husband has always loved Macaws and has always wanted one. When we found out they came in smaller "packages" we were so excited because our home may not be big enough for a large bird.

Well anyways I'm rattling on. I hope to learn everything I can about Parrotlets as we continue our learning with Daisy and also about Macaws before we get our new baby.

Welcome - if you ask the Macaw people they will give you the low-down on Macaws & each type's behaviors/personalities/needs/demands/etc.
