It'll reabsorb the minerals & calcium from the shell, but it won't reabsorb the whole thing. & since the vet found what he thinks is what's left of a different egg, he thinks that's what had her so bound up this time but not sure. And there's no guarantee that it won't happen again. He was going to do surgery on her when we had brought her up, but he was able to break the egg & get the contents out. The shell had collapsed in on itself so he wasn't able to grab it without actually doing the surgery. At this point, I'm not sure what we're gonna do, he told us that university hospital in Manhattan would be better able to help us if we needed more help than what they can do there in Topeka. I hope it doesn't have to come down to surgery on her, I just don't think I could handle the stress of having her go thru that. Course I don't want her to go thru this again either. Randy & I'll prob talk about it this afternoon when I get home. 2 more hours to go!!!
