The theme of this month's contest is Valentine’s Day! Post a photo of your bird sharing the love- with a themed background, or lovin’ on a birdie friend!

Please remember: You may submit only 1 photo per bird. You may enter multiple birds.
Another reminder from the rules: Your submission picture must be accompanied with a short story about the bird or birds pictured, their name(s), and species.

The winner will have their photo featured on the February page of the 2009 ParrotChatter calendar. You will also receive a 2009 calendar as a prize. Also, your winning photo will be displayed on the Parrot Chatter main entry page for an entire month.

All submitted photos must be of high resolution and with a pixel size of at least 1600 x 1200.

The contest will remain open until this time next Monday-one full week. At that time a poll will be set up for voting!

How can we upload photos that large when there is a size restriction on uploads? ... last time I looked.

Yes, an entered photo may have numerous birds in it, but each bird may only be in one photo (if you were to enter more than 1).


I suppose this should be clarified. While we want the entered photos to be large so that voters can clearly see all the details, because of the site size restrictions the 1600 x 1200 pixels may not be possible. However it's necessary that the winning photo can later be sent to Karen (FeathersNFur8) via PM or email in the size requirements given as it is what the calendar program requires.

Yes, but you can't enter more than one photo of them.

What I usually do is PM the winner and ask that they send me the full size photo in an email.

Come on! I've seen tons of photos posted on here of birds cuddling up to each other!

Ziggy is a male Budgie. This is Ziggy's first Valentines since he's only 6 months old. Ziggy is feeling the Valentine's Day love as he puts a foot on Miss Betty’s' shoulder and follows up with a big kiss !!. Pogo was a little jealous, but he’ll get over it.
