Talking WAAAA...I want a LINNIE!!!

Well since this is my introduction guess I shouldn't lie to ya all... I really want two and possibly four!!

Hi Everyone~
I'm surprised I can even type with my eyes glaxed and crossed from all the reading I've done on the web today about Linnie's including every thread here in the Linnie forum! I first heard of a Linnie from a member of another forum who is feeding a baby.

I'm not new to birds I had Budgies as a kid and I bred Tiels and Congo Greys for 8 years. We haven't had birds(other than our wild friends) for several years and miss it. We decided to ease back in so we got two Budgies, Pippin & Kalea(name subject to change as she may be a he). I researched Parrotlets first after meeting a sweet little baby girl, but they sound too aggressive and territorial for my taste. So looked up Linnie's and they sound absolutely PERFECT for me and my family! Almost too good to be true. LOL!

I joined the forum to learn more about Linnie's before making a final decision, but I'm already completely sold! I loved all the pics here!

I"m happy to be here and look forward to the day Ibring my first Linnie home!

I wish I'd known about Linnie's before I got my p'let Winkie. Don't get me wrong - I love the little rotter to death, but he scares the crap out of me regularly. My mom would love to get a linnie & we probably will - eventually. (space)

LOL! They scare me too and that's just from hearing about them! I visited a P'let forum while researching and right away went to the bonding section and there was post after post about big time biting problems, attacking their owners feet, being sweet one minute then out of no where attacking unprovoked, attacking other pets. No thanks! Too much attitude for me.

Anyway I'm glad I do my research and I'm thrilled to have discovered Linnies! I would much rather have a sweet bird who I can trust and have fun with.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

Someone said you like pictures, but I don't have any Linnies yet. I can post my Budgie Babies.

Leah~ i was just thinking and I hope you don't get offended(or anyone else for that matter) by my comments about P'lets. I'm sure they are wonderful birds for those who can handle them. They're just not for me.

Meet Pippin & Kalea...
