I had no idea you had so many pairs - that's a lot of work. Are any of the pairs from your own stock?

No, I have not been able to keep any of my babies yet.... I have a long waiting (wanting) list... I would much rather get these sweeties into peoples hands, and start spreading the Linnie word... Then to replenish my stock... Most of these pairs I have, I got as babies...I have been raising them up for over a year now... They are all Just over 17 months... So I really do not need any more pairs yet. So these are all going to be people's pets...

Denise your babies are beautiful !! My favorite colors are the mauve, olive, and cremino... I wish you lived closer !! I loved when we had little baby linnies on the counter at BP, they loved to dig and tunnel in the care fresh and since it was colored you had to play "find the linnie" lol

I have never looked into Linnie's very much but I have become fascinated by them.

I loved the pics of them and cant' wait to see some babies!

I have some questions..I'm testing your knowledge lol
1.)How do linnie's make as pets?
2.)Are they about the size of a parrotlet?
3.)Do they talk?
4.)How much does the average baby cost?
5.)Do you hand feed your babies?
6.)If the babies are parent raised, do they still make the same quality pets?

Thanx Denise

Well, I'll just have to live vicariously through you Denise, because my Toby Parrotlet is still trying to breed Piper while standing on one leg.

(thank goodness, really, because I didn't want eggs!)

1.)How do linnie's make as pets? Excellent...LOL What else would Denise say about her Linnies?.. No I am just kidding...Linnies are not destructive to their surroundings. They are easygoing and very calm. Linnie do make excellent pets especially for smaller surroundings. These little gems prefer to run and climb rather than fly.

2.)Are they about the size of a parrotlet? They are closer to the size of a tiel.

3.)Do they talk? Their vocal chatter is described as sounding like laughter or giggling, but they are know to be talkers, and can pick up many phrases.

4.)How much does the average baby cost? My cost or average cost? Well you can look around the web for other peoples costs.. but I can say mine are between.. $175.00 to $350.00... Colors, splits all figure in...

5.)Do you hand feed your babies? Yes, I hand feed, after I band the babies.

6.)If the babies are parent raised, do they still make the same quality pets? IMO... hand feeding does make a difference.... the ones that are parent raised seem to be more shy & timid, they are not aggressive... but do take longer to gain human trust.. JMO

Thanx Denise
I hope this helps and if you have any more questions, I am more then happy to talk about my Linnies... I am so happy I was introduced to these sweeties, and I honestly feel when they become more available, they will be one of the best pet birds out there.
