Jac - Well Wasabi was only ever around Suki not the others and it's been about six months. The Linnie's and Red Rumps live in the kitchen and Mojo and Wasabi in the living room. I basically have little groups, Red Rumps, Linnie's and the Parrotlets have separate cages but can play together. Wasabi only plays nice with Mojo now. Parrotlets can be very aggressive so no plans of them interacting with the Linnie's for their safety.

Sounds like a very nice set up. I had heard P'lets are aggressive - funny in such a small bird. & i'd heard the Linnies are sweethearts.

Of the 3 groups who is the sweetest, the easiest to interact with & the friendliest - the Linnie, Red Rumps or the P'lets?

Funny you ask that. I can't really pick one species as being more of those things than another. Like out of my Parrotlets, Mojo is my sweetest. Out of the Red Rumps, Ollie is the most affectionate and laid back...and out of the Linnie's Suki steps up the easiest but Yaki and Tofu go out of their way to get my attention. Each of my birds even in the same species are so very different that I can't say that personality wise my "Parrotlets are like this" or my "Red Rumps are like that". The closest I can get is to tell you that the Parrotlets are the most hyper, active and self-entertaining. The Red Rumps act the most like "outside" birds but both love being petted and scritched. And the Linnie's are the most laid back, mostly happy just hanging upside down from the top of their cage or eating. They're also the quietest.

I love Wasabi but hadn't planned on getting another Parrotlet until Mojo came along. Ollie is so easy that getting another Red Rump wasn't a hard decision; I could have a whole flock of them. And I think one can never have too many Linnie's either. So I don't have a favorite "breed" but I can most definitely say that I'm a "small bird" person.

Thanks - it is hard to point out 'aspects' when they all are such characters.

I guess I'm a small bird person as well.

Thanks Denise. Glad you liked them. Hopefully my next ones will be a bit clearer, but after 147 pictures on the wrong setting those were the best ones. LOL

How can you not love those faces? The other day when they were on the playstand Suki gave me kisses for the first time and each time she did she would chatter something at me, totally cracked me up. Yaki always sounds like she's say "What?!" "What?!?" ... they're so cute.

Good comparisons Andi... I know it is very hard... I like this about 1 species and I like that about the other...
It is hard... but I am also a small bird person... a lot of them... but a small bird person..LOL
With the Linnies it is so hard not to collect.. you want one of every color..and they get along with everyone...

Denise, exactly... but not every bird of that species acts the same. Wasabi is SO different from Mojo. In pictures they look rather similar, but seeing them there would be no mistaking which was which. I think Wasabi is probably more "stereotypical Parrotlet" in attitude and I love that about him.
