Default Linnie going through adolesents?

Hi Everyone I am new to the Forum. I have a 5 month old male Linnie. He has started nipping lately. I can't seem to find a reason for it except maybe he is going through an adolesent stage. There is no mirror in his cage but every now and then he will get terrotorial of his cage, he doesn't seem to have a favorite toy. Does anyone have a solution for this behavior? Thanks in advance for any help.

I just read that linnies can go through a nippy stage when they are younger than a year. Yes, I think they may have even referred to it as adolescence. Mine was a year old when I got her and she has never biten. Got her in Sept. However, I am no expert.

Hi Terri, Welcome to ParrotChatter! Nice to have you here.

I'm sorry I don't have any advice about your Linnie for you. I know nothing about them other than they are adorable. We do have a few Linnie owners here that should be able to offer some advice.

I just think it is something all birds go through... to see what they can get away with... Linnies usually do not bite...but if you react to their challange... they might learn thet gets a response...
I would put him back in his cage for a time out... they want to be with you...

Also... I would start moving his perches and toys around in his cage... change it up a little...
