Thanks, y'all! It was very hard to give them up-I didn't realize how hard until we found the right person for each of them. I try to think of my house as Camp.

Tinkerbell was with me for almost 3 months, Poppi for about 10 days. They are both very happy now in their new homes. Now that we have the rescue, we don't have to foster as often-but going into the rescue is another danger. Lynda has been trying to get me there to visit the 4 tiels they picked up from Animal Services here last week. I sent in some BIRDIEBREAD instead, lol. But I do want to see this OW Amazon that is there. BTW, the Tinkerbell pictures were taken at my house by Lynda. She does awesome pet photography.

I know - aren't they just adorable? Did you ever see a baby ringneck before? Amazing how different they look when their faces change and they get their rings, isn't it?

They do look very different when they start to fill out, but are adorable at any size!

Even more surprising - they are as bald as a babies butt when they hatch - no fluff or anything. I love them even when they look like little pink aliens.

Just to show - here is a pic of a baby Blossomhead. They are in the same species and will show how the ringies and all Asiatics except for Derbyans. This baby is 3 days old in the pictures. The last one compares his size to a quarter.

OMG! Would you just look at that little thing. Featherless alien indeed. Its hard to imagine that my fids once were that small and helpless.

Oh gosh no!I don't breed Ringnecks. I did breed Tiels at one time though. I have several breeder friends and the breeder of Kismet is one of them. SHe always lets me know if she has any babies of any kind. She could make me go in debt so bad.
She has several asiatics - Ringnecks, Derbyans, Plumheads, Blossoms, Slateys, Alexandrines..... I think that is it. they don't all produce though. Some are still not quite sure about it or have just not done anything yet.

I have been tempted so-o-o many times. She had the green split to blue which is absolutely stunning! It is a very slight difference from the normal green and if you didn't know you would not realize the difference in color. And she also had a dark factor green female which I was also tempted to get as well as the albino.

See - I don't need to go anywhere - my friends and my supplier feed my habit. Birds, food, rabbit, reptiles .......... need I say more? They make it very hard to say no.

Ahhhhh - you're killing me! These are all illegal in New Jersey. They are such beautiful birds. What is a Slatey? I think the Derbyans are fabulous.
