Thanks everybody. I do love my monsters!
I love to see your birds - YOu have a beautiful group. The plum heads are a group i know very little about - are they more of an aviary bird or like a Budgie or Lovebird, in personality?. I was reading that the Derbyan is quieter but a better talker then the IRNs - is yours?
Do your birds fly & if so, how do the handicapped birds do with their mobility issues?
My plumheads are what would be considered very independent. They are not as in your face as the ringies. I think most people would consider them aviary birds, but they are very sweet and can be very nice birds. Mine make sure to let me know exactly where I stand. LOL
My Derbyan? Well, it considers what you mean by quieter.

he can be quite vocal about things and when he is - it sounds like one of those little air horns. he is quite LOUD! My ringies are a little higher pitched than him. As for vocabulary - I don't know for sure. I got him at 4 years old so ..... I think it depends on the bird - he does talk, but I have a R ingneck, Kismet, who talks very well. I will have to put his video on here for you to hear him.
My birds for the most part are clipped - I do have some that are growing in their feathers, but I am not sure if i will let them get full flight, maybe just a few outer 0flight feathers clippe. I am realizing that my current living situation is just not too safe for flighted birds - maybe when I move into a new place.
My handicapped babies seem to do very well. They don't know that they are s.pecial. They get along very well and I just adjust their cages as need.
Sorry for any typos and mistakes - Skyye was "helping" me type.
