Thought I'd put up a couple new pics of Tausi, its been a while since the boy had any.

He loves wood and bead toys on rawhide strips. All day long I listen to the sound of toy parts dropping onto the cage floor, and now my afternoon cleaning routine includes 15 minutes or so spent tying the pieces back on. Oh well, he enjoys it! This pic represents about an hour's work for him. By this afternoon there will be three times as many.

Thanks, he really is a sweetheart. The closest thing I have to a "cuddly" bird. He's very active but sensitive, I'd say much closer to a Grey in temperment and personality than the conure types. He talks all the time, whether parrot or people type. Still not a great flier, and a bit prone to panic, but always sweet and so happy to see me. I try not to play favorites but I've got to admit, he's kinda special.

What s sweety. Pita does the same thing with her bead & wood toys.....Oh and I always have food to pick up as well...lol

I have a big soft spot for Red Bellies, a female Red Belly "chose" me a few months back and I visited with her many times. She was the sweetest thing ever. And I would have scooped her up and taken her home without a doubt if it weren't for the fact that she did not like males at all (hubby has to be able to interact with all bird!) and I don't want to bring in any larger species due to Jerry's nosiness habit. I was sorely tempted though. I still think about her, but luckily she chose another female (it was kind of rare that she got along well with anyone according to the store workers) and sounds like she went to a good home.

Kally loves the small beads as well, and the leather strips...makes them feel like they are big when they can bite through the strip LOL

Usually he contents himself with just untying the knots, though sometimes he goes for the direct cut the strip approach!

Quito eats some of the corn, Tausi removes every single kernel. Doesn't eat very many, but he cleans the cob, and sometimes demolishes part of the cob too. Chico ate maybe three kernels and that was it.

he sure is gorgeous... looks very happy and healthy....
(and psst, nate - i too try not to play favorites, and i came to the conclusion that there's no cuter, prettier and more lovable birdie than valo - see no favorites, just a factual statement LOL )
